last friady we have won a special honorable mention in the international competition for a new urban concept of "Plac Nowy". This place is very distinct as it is one of the last existing market squares in Europe which still works as a place for a small traders, and after hours as a party zone. Last weekend we have been with MONI to the biggest motorcycle event in Europe! Opening of the season in Poland - Czestochowa. Organizers counted over 20,000 motorcycles from around the country and a significant number of guest from abroad. Spectacular event visit my FLICKR to see more. We took part in the parade and my Trouble Triumph was blessed by the holy fathers... so now the ride begins :)

Ehh I don't feel very well this morning.. generally winter is not an easy time for me as I haven't seen it since 3 years of my travelling. Last weekend friends of Moni visited us and we have spent nice laidback time together... we even manage a brief visit at BK to see performance of my favourite Sound System led by Mista Pita and Lady Mocca... and Kfiatek as selecta. In old towns like Krakow there are places that evolved in the history to a new, spectacular roles that their creators would never even dream of. Like this church hidden somewhere between the building of the old town that became a living place for the poor people. It might be irony but it finally serves the people ;) ... the second photo is a close up of the church.... it looks nice on the photo .. reality is far from beautiful

Winter walk

Today I was seriously "tired" after few of my friends visited me yesterday. Sitting at home and dancing to the music of terrific band Tenacious D made no difference to my state so I took my girl and went for a walk. The city was buzzing and Moni felt really like shopping jumping with great energy to every shopfront.... me rather slow and sentimental ;) ... of course we finished up in IKEA ... best hot dogs in town :)

Today I had a short but very interesting meeting with Bartek Mucha the man behind the POOR DESIGN. We talk mainly about our photographic project but its not the matter of this post ;) He took me to the opening of the exhibition in F.A.I.T. gallery where young artist Tomasz Baran presented his abstract works. It is always very hard to contemplate art when you have to pass the crowd and the angles of view are very narrow.. but the wine is free and people are smiling so nicely ...

Everybody wants to improve something when the new year is coming... its a magic line, a simple dot in the live stream when we stop and look in the mirror... that's right no shame.... so one of the things in my life that I want to finally set up is writing..... writing just for the pleasure of writing ... and an even bigger pleasure of writing and photographing ...... somehow images blend really well with the words ..... first story should be about today's topic nr. 1 in Poland..... Winter ;) ... yes it is cold and snow is falling al the way..... buses are freezing, cars are freezing, everything is freezing... but there is something beautiful in freezing.. and instant moment when the world gets white and I start to see it as B&W photo..... so be it... I look through my window...

Last weekend was the Halloween party time for most of you, but here in Poland it is something more than just fun and actually it is a major catholic event. People go to cemeteries and light a candle for all of those who passed away. It is a very warm and sentimental time, one of the wonders of this country ....

Unexpected night this time... I didn't realize that people know me so well and I am even allowed to enter the private parties... A very warm and wicked night with a cool ska band Transnoodle and bunch of crazy people celebrating birthday party.

Silvermine Bay Festival

Quite unusual for Hong Kong a true yet small in size music festival. Definitely great advantage of the show was a beach and close proximity to some good beer shops. Music selection was more on a hard side ... nice one

No i doczekałem się w Hong Kongu prawdziwego festiwalu rockowego...
Co prawda nie była to impreza na miarę rodzimych polskich festiwali, ale lokalizacja na plaży znakomicie to wynagrodziła.
